On 14 September, PM Abdul Hameed Dabaiba named Major General Abdel Fattah Abdulqasim Daboub as head of the Judicial Police Department, just hours after the Presidential Council (PC) announced a consensus to appoint Major General Attiya al-Fakhri to the same post. The Judicial Police rejected the decision of the PM and of the PC and confirmed that Sabri Hadiya remains at the head of the department.
