On 16 September, LNA reinforcements and helicopters arrived in Tmassah as clashes reportedly resumed between LNA and FACT forces north of Aouzou (Chadian territory near the border with Libya), Tmassah and Torbu in Libya. International and LNA media sources reported that the LNA conducted airstrikes on FACT positions. According to pro-LNA sources, 2 FACT members were killed, 20 were injured, and the LNA captured 35 FACT operatives. The LNA’s Military Information Division reported that the 116 Brigade was securing the border.
