On 27 May, the 101st Infantry Battalion of the Libyan National Army (LNA) attacked the HQ of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Sebha during the night in order to free the Head of the Fuel Committee Salah al-Hassi, who was detained there on the instructions of the Attorney General. The attempt failed. One member of the 101st InfBn and two members of the CID were killed. Several people on both sides were wounded.
