On 26 February, the Attorney General’s Office announced it has filed a criminal case against an individual from a criminal organization whose members deliberately engaged in human trafficking, organized the smuggling of migrants across the sea, and deprived some migrants of their freedom and placed them in a state of slavery. The Tripoli Criminal Court sentenced the convicted person to thirty years in prison and fined him ninety thousand dinars. The individual was not named.
