On 19 June, the Attorney General announced the arrest of Abdul Majeed al-Darrat al-Misrati, one of the main suspects involved in the November 2013 Ghargour massacre in Tripoli. The accused had evaded justice since 2016, when the Tripoli Court of Appeal first took up the case, but proceedings stalled due to his escape. After years of surveillance, he was now been apprehended. A court session is scheduled for 1 July to resume his trial. Arrest warrants for other suspects have been renewed, with authorities affirming their commitment to holding all perpetrators accountable.
