On 14 December, the headquarters of Libya’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in the Janzour district of Tripoli was targeted in an armed attack. Initial reports suggest the assailants fired rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) at the building, causing structural damage. While there were no immediate reports of casualties, the incident represents a severe breach of security and is viewed as an attempt to undermine a state institution responsible for fighting corruption and safeguarding public funds. The Municipal Council of Janzour strongly condemned the assault, describing it as a dangerous act that threatens public safety and the rule of law, and called for a comprehensive investigation.
