On 28 June, Libyan National Army (LNA) Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar and Chief of Staff Khaled Haftar visited Cairo, meeting with the Egyptian Commander in Chief and the Chief of Staff.
On 28 June, Saddam and Khaled Haftar visited Cairo and attended the graduation ceremony of a new batch of LNA officers at the Military Academy for Higher and Strategic Studies in the Arab Republic of Egypt. According to the LNA, this comes under the framework of the military cooperation programs between the two sides in the areas of training and exchange of experiences, which contributes to improving the competence of the LNA officers and strengthening their capabilities.
Khaled and Saddam then met with Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, as well as Lieutenant General Ahmed Fathy Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces and a number of Egyptian military leaders.
