On 18 June, the Nigerien army based at the Madama airbase, adjacent to the border with Libya, launched an attack on the South Liberation Operations Room (SLOR) and Front for Change and Concord in Chad (FACT) joint positions inside Niger. The attack is said to have resulted in several casualties and losses in the Nigerien army.
