On 18 and 19 June, Military Intelligence Director (and Commander of the 444 Brigade) Major General Mahmoud Hamza and his accompanying delegation of seven senior defense officials attended the EUROSATORY 2026 defense exhibition at the official invitation of the French Ministry of Defense.
On the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition, Hamza had a number of meetings with senior French officials – the Minister of Defense Catherine Vautrin, the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces General Fabien Mandon, the Chief of Staff of the French Army General Pierre Schill, and Chief of Staff of the French Navy Admiral Nicolas Vaujour.
Hamza also met Paul Soler, the Presidential Special Envoy to Libya, at the Élysée Palace.
Beyond his engagements with French leadership, Hamza met with several other senior international defense figures to strengthen bilateral partnerships. These dignitaries included the Commander of the Turkish Second Army, the Chadian Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff of the Mauritanian National Army, and the Head of the Italian Defense Procurement Agency. The multilateral talks centred on regional issues of mutual interest, exploring new avenues for military and security cooperation, and exchanging strategic expertise to solidify relations between the participating nations.
