On 18 June, two young militia members were killed by a hail of bullets at the hand of a rival militia in the Dhahrat Arafa area of al-Ajilat. An officer from the Sabratha Criminal Investigation Department was also killed by several gunshots during a failed targeted raid to arrest criminals in the city.
