On 7 June, one person was killed and another seriously injured on the Bir al-Ghanem road, south of Zawiyya, after they were targeted by gunfire. On 9 June, in the early hours of the morning, fresh clashes broke out in Zawiyya in the Terfas area and near the Bashkar intersection. The clashes reportedly involved forces affiliated with a commander identified as Salem Al-Tayef and a rival group linked to a figure known as Al-Shalabi. At least one person was killed.
