On 3 June, IOM said that the previous day it had safely repatriated 182 stranded Nigerian migrants via a chartered Buraq Air flight from Benghazi to Lagos. Conducted under the EU-funded Voluntary Humanitarian Return program, the operation provided beneficiaries with comprehensive medical and protection services to ensure a dignified journey. According to IOM, this initiative serves as a crucial component of regional migration management, offering vulnerable individuals a safe alternative to remaining stranded while supporting reintegration into their home communities.
