Libya hit with more fuel shortages

After queues appeared at petrol stations in Libya again, the Brega Company said on 12 May that the congestion at fuel stations is not due to any malfunction regarding the availability of fuel products.

Instead, it explained that the logistical procedures for the berthing of fuel tankers had caused a temporary fluctuation in supply operations, which affects the supply process. It reassured all citizens that the receipt and distribution of fuel shipments are proceeding normally and at a regular pace. It said both Tripoli and Benghazi ports had received shipments of fuel and all distribution companies have been supplied with sufficient quantities of fuel from the depots.
