On 6 October, the Government of National Unity (GNU) team involved in the Rome Process held a meeting with its Italian counterpart to discuss proposed projects aimed at combating illegal immigration.
The same day, the Commander of the Italian Assistance and Support Mission (MIASIT), the Italian Ambassador Alberini and the Commander of COVI General Lannucci met with Haddad to discuss training activities and cooperation in the Defense sector. The British Ambassador Martin Longden also met with the Libyan Army Chief of Staff Muhammed Haddad.
