On 22 September, an expanded security meeting took place about the situation at Mitiga airport. It was chaired by Major General Mahmoud Saeed, Undersecretary for General Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, and brought together senior officials and representatives from security and military agencies operating at Mitiga International Airport, including the Special Deterrence Force (Rada). The focus was on strengthening inter-agency coordination and refining security procedures to improve operational efficiency, discipline, and safety at the airport. The ministry reiterated its commitment to supporting key ports and maintaining robust security readiness to safeguard citizens and travelers.

On 24 September, residents of Janzour issued an urgent statement expressing deep concern over the escalating security breakdown west of Tripoli. They held armed militias loyal to PM Abdul Hameed Dabaiba responsible for this, specifically naming the Munir al-Suwaih militia (6th Brigade), the al-Sifaw (Amazigh) militia, and the Zintani-led Public Security Force. The statement accused these groups of causing deteriorating security conditions, widespread corruption, and violations affecting Janzour and nearby tourist areas. The residents called for an immediate intervention to halt these abuses, which they say threaten public safety and daily life.

The same day, the 444 Brigade said that it has intensified its operations against drug trafficking in Tripoli and several western cities, including Bani Walid. Recent raids led to the seizure of hashish, cocaine, and narcotic pills, as well as the arrest of multiple suspects on drug-related charges. Additional arrests were made in another western city for alcohol trafficking. All seized substances were confiscated, dens shut down, and suspects handed over to authorities for investigation. The 444 Brigade reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug networks and safeguarding public security.

On 25 September, PM Dabaiba met with Brigadier General Abdul Fattah Daboub, the head of the Judicial Police Department appointed by him, to review plans for the Judicial Police to take over key prisons and improve operational efficiency. The discussion covered logistical challenges, required support, and reforms to restore justice and uphold the rule of law. Dabaiba emphasized that this is a long-term national effort to ensure accountability, protect human dignity, and rebuild trust in the system.
