On 6 October, Haithem Tajouri’s 777 Brigade posted on social media that ‘all units and equipment of the 777 Brigade are prepared’, the implication being that an assault to re-gain lost territory in Tripoli may be imminent. Throughout September, the 777 Brigade has been publishing threatening posts on social media towards authorities in Tripoli.
