On 28 November, Libyan national Ahmed Abu Khattala, was convicted of terrorism charges related to the 2012 September 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi and the attack on the nearby CIA annex on the 12th. The jury acquitted Khattala of 14 of the 18 charges, which included finding him not guilty of murder. Abu Khattala faces life in prison, with 20 years for the destruction of property and up to 15 years for each charge of terrorism.

On 30 November, clashes resumed between Libyan National Army (LNA) Saiqa units and entrenched jihadist fighters in the Sidi Khribesh area of the Benghazi, with the LNA air force conducting airstrikes against their rivals.

On the 3 December, Abdel-Razzaq Mushaireb, an imam and preacher accused of links to terrorist groups and who was investigated for recruiting and grooming youths, was released by Tripoli’s Rada Special Deterrence Force without explanation.
