On 16 October, undated photos circulated on social media suggesting Zeyad Belaam, the founder of the Benghazi Defence Brigades (BDB) and former leader of Benghazi Shura Revolutionary Council, was fighting alongside anti-LNA coalition forces on the frontlines of Tripoli. This is not the first time video footage has circulated showing Belaam on the frontlines– in April he was featured in a video thought to show him participating clashes in the Khallat al-Farjan suburb of Tripoli.
