On 25 February, the Zintani Joint Operations Room mobilised to the Qadamat checkpoint south of Ghariyan and established earthwork defence positions in response to reports that Libyan National Army (LNA) aligned forces were looking to mobilise to the Ghariyan and Tarhouna area. On 26 February, Ghariyan security forces undertook reconnaissance patrols in the Nasmah area, following reports of potential LNA mobilisations in the area.
