On 23 November, the Stability Support Apparatus (SSA) opened a western branch in the Syad neighbourhood of Tripoli, ‘to strengthen the rule of law and establish security’. The branch opening was attended by armed group leaders and the heads of security directorates, including: Hassan Bouzreba, Deputy Chief of the Agency for Training and Special Operations Affairs, Brigadier General Saber Armila, Head of the SSA Western Region Branch, and Muammar al-Dawi, Commander of the 55 Battalion.
