On the evening of 18 October, an explosion occurred during a military exercise at a camp belonging to the Counter-Security Threats Force in the Harsha area of Al-Zawiyya. Libya’s Ambulance and Emergency Apparatus announced that nine people were killed when mortar shells exploded at the camp. Security authorities have yet to issue an official statement detailing the circumstances of the incident.
On 19 October, the HSC offered its condolences to the families of the soldiers who passed away during training with the Counter-Security Threats Unit, which is affiliated with Muhammed Bahroun aka al-Far.
