On 22 June, it was reported that Libyan National Army (LNA) Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar met with the head of Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General Hassan Rashad, and Trump Adviser Massad Boulos in Cairo. The meeting addressed efforts to support the political process in Libya and discussed mechanisms to bring the views of the various Libyan parties closer together. The participants also discussed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation among the parties concerned to move the political process forward, and to support initiatives aimed at achieving national consensus that leads to lasting stability.
