On 25 April, residents of Qasr al-Akhiyar issued a video statement condemning the killing of a young man (Ibrahim Abdel Salam Sassi) on 17 April by security personnel from the Qasr al-Akhiyar police station, which is under the jurisdiction of the al-Marqab Security Directorate in western Libya.
