On 31 August, the office of the Attorney General said that the General Directorate of Security Operations supported by the LNA – GNS MoI Joint Force South has dismantled a human trafficking network in Ash Shuwayrif. In total, 1,300 illegal migrants were liberated, some of whom were kept in forced detention and tortured to extort money from their families for their release. A leader of the organization and ten gang members were arrested, some of them were migrants themselves.
