On 9 November, a delegation from the General Staff of the Libyan Army participated in the 39th meeting of the Executive Committee of the 5+5 Defense Initiative in Madrid, Spain. Members of this initiative are five European countries (Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Malta) and five African countries (Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania). The main objective of the meeting was the preparation of the upcoming defence ministers meeting on 12 December.
