On 26 July, Zintani Commander Osama Juwaili held a three-hour meeting with pro-Abdul Hameed Dabaiba, Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister, armed group leaders. These included Ayoub Abu Ras and Mohammed Bin Rajab. The meetings took place at the 7 April Camp in Tripoli. Neither the 444 Brigade nor the Special Deterrence Force (Rada) are understood to have been in attendance. The meeting was set-up to broker and agreement and relieve the immediate tensions. Reports suggest that the meeting led to a temporary de-escalation, with some Zintani forces understood to have withdrawn from south-west Tripoli towards Nafusa.
