On 20 – 23 March, the US Naval Forces Europe-Africa held the inaugural African Maritime Forces Summit in Cape Verde focusing on ‘security at sea enable stability ashore.’ The US thanked the Libyan Navy joint delegation for participating and stressed that ‘regional partnerships are paramount to finding common maritime solutions’.
