On 16 June, Italian Army Corps General, Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, visited the Italian Hippocrates Task Force in Misrata. Figliuolo praised the activities of the Task Force and declared that the mission would evolve ‘on the basis of the needs proposed by the Government of Tripoli’ – implying the Government of National Unity (GNU). He stressed that the mission would continue to provide medical support to the local population.
