On 14 October, the Government of National Unity’s (GNU) Internal Security Agency announced that it had captured Omar Bashir Omar Izadeen, an ISIS operative of Tunisian nationality who had assisted in facilitating the terrorist attack on the Corinthia Hotel in 2015. In a video confession published by the GNU’s Internal Security Agency, Izadeen admitted that he had smuggled ISIS operatives over the Libyan-Tunisian border, including Idris Abdalgader Al-Amrousi, who was responsible for the assault on the Corinthia Hotel.
