On 6 October, the National Accord Bloc in the High State Council (HSC) issued a statement condemning the trial of HSC member Hassan Jaballah in a military court as a ‘very dangerous precedent’ and a blatant violation of the Constitutional Declaration and the principle of parliamentary immunity. The Military Court in Tripoli had sentenced Jaballah to 10 years and 6 months in prison, after convicting him of participating with the Kaniyat militia and supporting them in 2017 in killing 8 young men in an armed attack on the Rawajeh area in Qarabulli, and other cases in Tarhouna.
