On 24 March, the HoR and its Speaker Aqeela Saleh published an altered text of the HoR’s amendment of Article 30 of the Constitutional Declaration Section 12, which it originally passed in February this year. The amendments see the removal of the requirement for consensus to be reached with the High State Council (HSC) as well as the removal of the stipulation for elections to be held within 14 months of the amendment being passed, leaving the timeline open-ended. As per previous iterations of the Amendment, neither the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) not the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) are mentioned.
