The Government of National Unity (GNU) Minister of Interior, Emad Trabelsi, gave a speech on 1 March at the fortieth session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis. In his speech, Trabelsi said the Ministry of Interior (MoI) is determined to impose security throughout Libyan soil in order to ‘build a state of law in which human rights are respected, social justice is achieved and is dominated by security and prosperity.’ He stressed that there should be greater cooperation on security issues among Arab states, in particular on the threat of illegal migration.
