On 18 January, clashes broke out on Airport Road, in the Qasr Bin Ghashir in southern Tripoli, between Rada (Special Deterrence Force) and the 111 Brigade (formerly known as the 301 Brigade) led by Abdussalam al-Zoubi. Medium and heavy weapons were deployed. Some sources claim that a drone departed from Mitiga International Airport and headed towards the area of the clashes. A member of the 111 Brigade was reportedly killed. The 444 Brigade was reportedly deployed to mediate the situation.
