On 5 March, Belqassim Khalifa Haftar, Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, and his accompanying delegation met with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani in Rome. According to the Fund, they discussed ways to develop cooperation between the two sides in the fields of development and construction, especially in the sectors of health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, transportation, air cargo, as well as restarting flights between Libya and Italy. The two sides also agreed to form specialized technical committees to follow up the implementation of the agreed projects and to establish executive frameworks for the strategy of joint work between the two countries.
