Belarussian Deputy PM signs MoUs with GNS in Benghazi

On 9 March, official talks were held in Benghazi between the Government of National Stability (GNS) PM Osama Hammad and the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Viktor Karankevich, in the presence of a number of government ministers. Hammad and Karankevich signed several Memorandums of Understanding including on healthcare, education, agriculture, mining, industry and security. The following day, bilateral meetings between the GNS and Belarussian ministerial delegations were held to complete the implementation procedures of the agreements.

On 10 March, Libyan National Army (LNA) commander Khalifa Haftar met with Karankevich and his accompanying delegation at the LNA’s General Command headquarters. Haftar welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasising the strong ties between Libya and Belarus. He highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
