Efforts to secure the Sabri and Souq al-Hout areas of Benghazi that were held until recently by jihadists remain hampered by unruly management, delays in demining and cleaning works, and ongoing conflicts in adjacent areas between the LNA and remaining jihadists. De-mining and detoxifying this area is not advancing as quickly as expected and more lives continue to be lost as a result of exploding ordnance. Security in Benghazi is partially under the control of the LNA but the situation remains unstable.
