On 28 September, the Office of the Attorney General ordered the arrest of an additional four people linked to the investigation in to the Derna floods including two members of the Derna Municipal Council. They are charged with failing to complete the administrative and financial responsibilities assigned to them and thereby contributed to the disaster. This brings the total number arrested so far to 12.
