On 22 April, Russian Ambassador to Libya Aydar Aganin flew to Tripoli, meeting with the Government of National Unity (GNU) Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs al-Taher al-Baour where the two discussed bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them with mutual interests. The same day, the First Deputy head of the High State Council (HSC) met the Chairman of the Joint Libyan-Russian Communication Committee to discuss LibyanRussian relations and the agreements signed between the two countries, reviewing their activation mechanisms and ways to unite efforts to work on strengthening and developing relations with the Russian side.
