AG announces arrest of IS member behind 2018 Tripoli attack

On 26 February, the Office of the Attorney General announced it had arrested the Islamic State (IS) member who planned and logistically supported the terrorist attacks on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) headquarters and the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) headquarters in Tripoli in 2018. The arrest was made by the Special Deterrence Force (Rada). According to the AG, large quantities of weapons and ammunition were found in the man’s hiding place.
