US Senior Advisor on Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos condemned the killing of Libyan National Army (LNA) Military Intelligence Chief Major General Fawzi al-Mansouri, as well as the Zawiyya attacks. He said the US calls for thorough investigations into the attacks and for those responsible to be held accountable. He added that ‘these attacks underscore the need for unified, professional military and security institutions capable of providing security for the Libyan people.’ He urged Libyan stakeholders to redouble their efforts to overcome divisions and advance the unification of Libya’s military, economic, and political institutions.
