On 10 March, Government of National Unity (GNU) Minister of Interior (MoI) EmadTrabelsi held an Iftar gathering with political and security leaders and elders from Misrata including Zoubi, the Mayor and members of the Misrata Municipal Council and members of the Elders and Wisemen Council. The MoI said it focused on strengthening communication bridges between security institutions and social components.
On 12 March, Trabelsi held an iftar with political and security leaders from the West Coast region, including from Surman, Sabratha, Al-Ajilat, Al-Jadida, Al-Jumail, Raqdalin, and Zaltan.
On 13 March, Trabelsi participated at a Ramadan Iftar in Zawiyya that was attended by local mayors, security forces leaders (including the infamous militia leader Muhammed Kashlaf aka al-Qasseb), tribal elders, and youth. In his speech, he stressed that the city has the capacity to bolster security and stability across western Libya. He praised the gathering as a sign of social cohesion, highlighted Zawiyya’s strategic importance, and urged cooperation between state institutions and local communities to confront security challenges. Trabelsi emphasized that political and social disputes are temporary, calling for unity, rejection of division, and collective responsibility in safeguarding stability, concluding with an appeal for all Libyan cities to remain united and resilient.
On 14 March, Trabelsi participated in an iftar with political and security leaders from Tarhuna. He noted that Tarhuna represents a true model of unity, having maintained its cohesion despite the divisions and conflicts that have plagued the country, thanks to the efforts of its people and their commitment to prioritizing the national interest.
The following day, Trabelsi attended an iftar with elders, wise men, and sheikhs of the Warfalla tribe in Bani Walid and Tripoli, and in the presence of the Bani Walid Security Director, along with the mayors of Bani Walid, Al-Mardoum, and Al-Tanina, as well as other political and security leaders. Trabelsi affirmed that the Warfalla tribe has a prominent and active role in supporting stability and strengthening social cohesion.
