On 20 February, the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ground Forces Chief of Staff announced the start of joint operational activities with Chad. The announcement followed a high-level meeting attended across the Chadian border by senior officers from both the LNA and the Chadian Armed Forces, during which both delegations agreed on a structured mechanism to regulate joint field operations, focusing particularly on combatting smuggling of goods and people, as well as illegal cross-border movements.
