On 10 February, the Emergency and Ambulance Service branch in Kufra announced the recovery of the bodies of the victims of an ambulance plane that crashed during takeoff from al-Sarra Airbase in the south on the evening of 9 February. The ambulance plane reportedly exploded while carrying out a mission to evacuate a soldier from the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Subul al-Salam Battalion.
