On 13 November, the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Military Media Division said that the LNA’s General Command and the Chadian Army have established a joint force to secure their shared borders against smugglers and human traffickers, other bandits, and insurgency groups. The initiative, directed on the Libyan side by LNA Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar, involves the LNA’s General Staff of Ground Forces, the Border Guard Administration and the Subul al-Salam Brigade.
The Subul al-Salam Brigade and troops of the Chadian Army will form joint patrols to fight criminals and insurgents on both sides of the common border. Both parties expect a much higher efficiency of border control as crucial intelligence can be shared directly and cross-border pursuits of criminals will be easily possible
