On 21 October, Saddam Haftar was received by Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Presidential Palace in Minsk as part of his official visit to the country. A statement issued by the Libyan National Army (LNA) General Command stated that the meeting addressed strengthening relations between the two countries in a number of vital areas, most notably military cooperation, in addition to discussing cooperation in the economic and investment fields. It said that the two sides discussed encouraging partnerships between the two countries in the fields of infrastructure, industry, and agriculture, which would contribute to enhancing sustainable development and supporting reconstruction efforts within Libya.
