On 2 July, Presidential Council (PC) head Muhammed al-Menfi held a meeting with military leaders, including Libyan Army Chief of Staff Muhammed al-Haddad, to review the security situation in Tripoli. He emphasized strict adherence to the ceasefire, the return of forces to their bases, and the need to maintain calm and unity in the capital. Al-Menfi called for swift resolution of challenges facing the Truce Follow-up Committee to ensure stability.
The same day, the elders and notables of Zawiyya called for the removal of all forces conducting military mobilizations in Tripoli on behalf of the Dabaiba government. They expressed full support for the ongoing popular movement and demonstrations, declaring their commitment to continue until the ‘illegitimate’ government is overthrown.
On 3 July, a young man in civil clothes, allegedly an off-duty member of Special Deterrence Force (Rada), was killed in Ghout al-Shaal. His body was dumped in front of the local clinic. He was abducted by the Public Security Force and killed by them.
