On 22 April, the Libyan National Army (LNA) arrested suspected Egyptian militant Mohammed Mohamed al-Sayed aka Mohammed al-Senbekhti aka Abu Khaled Munir. He is believed to have been the “right-hand man” of executed Egyptian militant Hesham al-Ashmawi. It has been reported that he was captured in Tripoli among Government of National Accord (GNA)-aligned forces and was taken for processing in Benghazi and suggested that Senbekhti’s extradition to Egypt is being negotiated.
