21 – 27 August: ISIS member allegedly killed on Tripoli frontlines

On 27 August, unconfirmed reports claim the Libyan National Army (LNA) killed an alleged ISIS member, Salah al-Shin, fighting on the front lines in southern Tripoli.

On 15 August, unconfirmed reports suggest ISIS militants attacked a checkpoint in Bawbat al-Souda in the Jufra region. However, ISIS has not claimed responsibility and no Libyan actors have provided any details about the incident.

On 18 August, the KNA spokesperson, Ahmed al-Mesmari, claimed ISIS members were amongst the opposition forces it was fighting in Murzuq.
