During the last week, the Libyan National Army (LNA) has increased its aerial attacks on anti-LNA forces in southern Tripoli, with a specific focus on reducing their aerial and drone assets.

On 17 September, the LNA undertook four aerial attacks on Mitiga airport, claiming they were targeting Turkish drones and linked facilities. On 19 September, the LNA launched aerial attacks on the base of the anti-LNA National Mobile Force militia near Checkpoint 17 in south western Tripoli.  On 21 September, the LNA launched aerial attacks on Airport Road, Ain Zara, Tajoura, Khallat al-Furjan, Aziziyya, and Janzour.

On 17 September, the LNA launched two aerial attacks targeting the Misrata Air College (MAC) in the late evening, damaging a Libyan Wings jet. On 19 September, the LNA launched another two aerial attacks targeting the MAC. The LNA claimed to have successfully hit two Turkish drones and the facility housing the MAC air defence capabilities.

There has also been an elevation in the number of clashes on the ground, through neither coalition has made any notable gains on the ground. Heavy fighting has been reported within and in proximity to the Tripoli International Airport (TIA), Aziziyya, al-Asebea, and Khallat al-Furjan.
